If you’re looking for a laid back, family friendly place to dine for lunch or dinner, Community Pizza & Beer Garden is one to check out. Located just off the square, it provides casual seating both indoor and out, along with a playscape and bar, making it a perfect spot for lounging after a long day of shopping.
The Beer Garden portion offers 32 beers on tap, along with wine and spirits. You can relax with a classic Bellini or get fancy with one of their signature libations like the Lavender Boulevardier If you’re looking for a non-alcoholic beverage, they have a wide range of sodas, as well as Kombucha on draft, Saint Arnolds Rootbeer, and Maine Root Lemonade. They even have Mexican Coke, which has long been one of Helena’s favorites and is served in a classic glass bottle.
Of course, the main reason to go is for the Neapolitan wood fired pizza. Guests can watch their pizza get made through the glass surround that houses the wood fire pizza oven. You can choose from a variety of house specialty pizzas, such as the Blanco Margherita, or build your own from a list of fresh ingredients. If pizza isn’t your thing, don’t worry. They also have tasty sandwiches and salads, as well as some hearty appetizers. We’re partial to the Caprese Chopped Salad and Avocado & Goat Cheese Bruschetta. Both are large enough to share, which is great if you can’t decide and want to try more than one thing.
So if you’re looking for a lazy spot to chill, enjoy some wood fired pizza and cold drinks, we suggest you give Community Pizza & Beer Garden a try. Oh, and don’t forget the Pirate Ship is for the kids, no matter how fun it looks!
